Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later worked as the morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD-TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's reports on the lenient police approach to DUI cases resulted in an State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the states authorities again releasing an even more strict directive on DUI instances. Ms. O'Dell was honored by The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. O'Dell has worked working in Charleston working as a journalist and co-anchor at NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring into Access Hollywood where she is currently a co-anchor and correspondent during weekends. O'Dell, as well as being the anchor of Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's reported on events such like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of pre-show arrivals in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. She also hosts the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
